To Avoid Harmful Effects of Toxins, Use Organic Clothing

!±8± To Avoid Harmful Effects of Toxins, Use Organic Clothing

The word organic refers to methods of growing material naturally through agricultural practices without using pesticides and other toxic materials. The harmful effects of pollution and global warming have made people realize that it is better to be closer to nature than suffer from various ailments that keep on plaguing the population because of development that cannot be sustained for long. People first became conscious of the food they were eating, and switched to organically produced materials such as organic beef and chicken. Now they have realized that ordinary clothing is posing as much danger to us as our food because our skin remains in contact with clothes that are produced using all the pesticides and other toxins. Even the dyes that are used to color the clothes are synthetic. Organic clothing is an attempt to steer away from all these harmful elements.

Organic apparels are a good option for those who wish to stay in touch with nature away from the harmful effects of synthetic dyes and hard chemicals. These people are in a way contributing in their own modest way towards saving the environment. We all know how the harmful toxins and chemicals used in the manufacture of ordinary clothes are disposed off, throwing them in rivers and other water bodies, causing incalculable harm to the environment.

Also, naturally produced material used in the manufacture of organic apparel is safe for our skins. You would be surprised to know the names of the chemicals used in making ordinary clothing. These include formaldehyde, urea resins, bromines and even halogens. You can realize what effect these deadly chemicals can have on epidermis, the outer skin which comes into contact with these chemicals. This effect is more pronounced when our body is sweating. The process which makes our body absorb chemicals is called osmosis.

Organic clothes are far more durable than synthetically produced apparels. This implies that their initial high cost is offset by their durability besides proving to be of immense value to us in protecting our bodies from harmful chemicals.

Some of the materials that are being produced organically without using pesticides are cotton, hemp and wool. These are all natural products that cause no harm to our bodies. Even the apparels that are made using such material are dyed with natural substances like indigo and other plants and herbs that have been traditionally used to color clothes. Of late there has been a great response to organic clothing and people in the west have started to use these clothes on a large scale. They buy it especially for kids and use organic clothing only in the cribs of babies as the skin of babies is very delicate and can easily be affected by the pesticides used in the production of ordinary clothing. Seeing the response of the people, more and more manufacturers are using naturally produced clothes to make their apparels. This type of clothing is a bit expensive, but who cares as long as it is natural and safe for our bodies.
